we took my Dad off of the ventilator two years ago. The last few weeks of his life, he had no real quality of life. Watching a loved one die right before you is not a good thing. Just remember the good times, and it makes the bad times more tolerable. I will say a prayer for your Dad, and also you. People tend to forget what the family has to go through, it ain't good.
