We are looking for people to join us in some hiking and/or snowshoeing until the weather warms up (and even in the summer {OMG!})  We are in Broomfield and will be hiking mainly in Jeffco Open Space but are open to other places too.  Let me know if you're interested so we can set up a group hike.

Got to watch out for the prairie dogs down here on the flat lands, and those killer marmots in the high country.

I thought Carl was doing pancakes?

Will there be walking and stuff? Don't cotton much to walking and stuff. Much rather ride. That's why I subbed to this forum instead of a walking-and-stuff forum.   Cool

We're thinking about doing just that next weekend, prob Sunday.  We've only snowshoed up there once and it was a steep trail.  You know of any flat ones?  Bigsmile

That's ok. With the storm and extremely low temps this weekend, I've been trying to talk Rita out of it. She's just getting over back issues from shoveling snow and I'm not sure that slogging about in the wilderness on snowshoes would be a good idea.

I have a shoulder injury I'm trying to get over so Rita's forcing me to not shovel. She did the first heavy snowfall back in December and her back's been complaining the whole time. I went out and shoveled a week later and widened her work. She did enough to get to the car and to get the car in and out. Unfortunately it was juussst enough to get the Transalp out with one foot in the snowbank on the way in or out. I was careful and did small chunks. It took longer but I didn't aggravate my shoulder much and I was seeing the acupuncturist later that day anyway.

But I wasn't watching TV. I was either on the computer or getting pics of her doing the shovelling Smile

Rita Shovelling

The morning of the second snowstorm.

After I got done the driveway was cleared out to the road and the sidewalks were done.

Sounds like an excuse to me  Bigsmile. A real mountain man would not be using his "other" as an excuse  Razz and would be out there anyhow  :pokestick:
