I went to Harley dealer to check out the new Buell.  Must say that it is much better looking in person than in pictures.  I really like the ergos/design of the bike and am anxious to take it out for a ride soon.

After looking through the Brochure, has anyone else seen the picture showing the lower fairing mounted during product testing?  It appeared to cover up the ugly exhaust.  I noticed that in all the pictures the exhaust was carefully smoothed, (possibly just photo-chopped) but in person it looks like it was stick welded.

I think I going to wait till next year before seriously considering purchasing one to add to the stable.  Hopefully by then they can take care of the only 2 issue that I see, the exhaust cover and possibly there will be a black frame, matching the bodywork.

And to hopfully save this thread from side cowling bashing.... yes Brad1445 we know you have many buells and hate the cowling.   Bigsmile  Personally I really like the idea of Buell adding a liquid cooled bike to their lineup.  Bigok  The cowling looks just fine in person.

I wouldn't worry about that exhaust.  The aftermarket will take care of it.

I have not seen the exhaust that up close and personal.  My Firebolt exhaust can isn't exactly a model of beauty either.  It's just functional and disappears underneath there.  I have seen them in stainless steel and they looked real sweet.

Rouge, The bike does look better in person overall, but with one exception the exhaust actually is worse in person.  Very bad welds the tips on three different bikes I have seen are all at different angles.  It is differently a weak point of the bike  that photos hide.
