At least for the 1200 Bandit, the AmPro cup type oil filter wrench, part # T70405, works very nicely.  I got it at Advance Auto Part for under $5.00.  It will fit 65mm and 67mm 14 flute filters.

Or...you can use K&N Oil Filters, about as good as you can get. Plus, they have a 17mm hex nut as part of the can for super easy install and removal, and....they're drilled for safety wire!
I, personally, am not a fan of the fluted wrenches.

Anyone know if the oil filter wrench that fit my VStrom will fit my Bandit 1250? I won't have the bike for another week or I'd just check myself.

Any dealer or accessory store in the US will have access to them. They probably sell K&N air filters and the oil filters are from the same source.

The 1250 uses the same filter as the 1200's, not sure about the V-Strom

Harbor Freight sells a 14 piece set of oil filter wrenches for about $30. Decent quality. Comes in a nice plastic case and everything. Believe it or not, though, with 14 sizes to choose from, not a single one fits the oil filter on my Ducati.  Rolleyes
