Flight plan calls for departure anywhere from midday Friday to crack-of-dawn Saturday; return is anytime from midday to late evening on Sunday. A big and/or fun one-day ride is welcome, as are multi-day treks.
I'll ride anywhere from 100 miles (if scenery is extra-cool or I had Mexican the night before) to all day long (if the roads are great or I'm planning to be somewhere and don't feel like juggling the itinerary).

All anyone has to do is say "hey Steve ya wanna go out for a ride?" and they get access to my mental road roladex.
Of course, I'm overseas right now, but I won't be forever, and those roads aren't gonna change much.

No more BS than "I know all the good roads, and I am going to keep them to myself".
You are right about forums being for expressing opinons, and IMHO, it is junvenile to come in here and project an attitude like that, and having to broadcast it to the world is egotistical.
Before you start calling people juvenile and egotistical, you need to clean up your own act.
Edit: Sorry Guys, I thought I PM'ed this.

Just to make the topic a bit lighter, I am traveling to Augusta, Ga today for a leisurely ride. Going to slab it from Concord, NC to Gaffney, SC, and find HW 11, then ride the foothills of SC to the Savannah River, then ride down south til I hit Augusta. Staying in a Hampton Inn, and will hit Hooters to watch the NCAA games tonight. Want to go to the Mecca of Golf in the US, see the azaleas in bloom( sound like a puss, I know) then ride back up a nice two laner to Concord tomorrow. This isnt a sport-tour, but just want to enjoy a good ride, try out my "new" Givi with my son on the back, and a few other goodies.

A good place to go to find people that
like
discovering and sharing the good roads is
http://www.GroupRider.com
. Clive - if you aren't signed up there already, go over and check it out. You can search NC roads by proximity to a city, and groups will have favorite routes listed.
http://www.grouprider.com/routes.php
Make sure you go through all the multiple pages when you select a city - there are hundreds of routes listed out there. I have a few of my favorites posted, but haven't had the time to upload many. Since only having picked up a GPS a couple of months ago, have had to convert them out of my head, or get routes created by other people. NC Riders has some good routes on GroupRider, along with many others. You can download the routes in a GPX format for a GPS, or in hard format. With refurb'ed Garmin Quests running $150 on the web, the GPS maps and routing assitance are very accessible these days!
The Charlotte RATs also have some good routes listed in the files section on their Yahoo Groups site.
