Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word, equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.

She gets it. I know many of the Tiger faithful don't like the new direction, but I believe it will prove to be a fine bike for its intended use: "all roads" sport-touring (not adventure-touring). If anyone ever comes out with some more dirt-worthy 17" tires (Tourances for example), I expect it would handle dirt/gravel roads quite well, since the Pirelli Scorpion Syncs seem to do OK for the Uly and Multistrada guys on dirt roads.

Thanks for the link, that's a good article.

This is the first I've heard of Jane Omorogbe.  Inlove

She even has worn out knee pucks, you know what that means!?

(Get you mind out of the gutter, it means she's a hell-of-a rider.) Wink

+1!!!!!

I'm looking forward to test riding this and the Multistrada 1100. If I buy new again it will most likely be one of these two bikes.

MCN rode and compared the new Tiger with the GS, Multistrada and TDM.

Somebody over at TriumphRAT.net has a summary of the review.

Moke, thanks for the tip-off. I went out and bought an MCN (Motorcycle News). This is a good group test. Overall MCN give the Tiger top marks making it 4.5 stars. The GS and the MultiStrada are 4 Star and the TDM 3.5 Stars.

They really like the feel of the Triple engine, the power delivery. Overall they rate the 2007 Tiger as a semi naked sports tourer and less of a big Traillie. Quote

'It has the all round practical ability of the old Tiger, but also composure and sporting ability that few, if any, will be able to match.'

In my opinion BMW went the same route with the 1200GS over the old 1150GS. Any Triumph motorcycle has to be extra good to receive compliments from MCN. I can't wait for a Test Ride of the 2007 Tiger.

That sounds pretty darned good.

Some ride reports from members are starting to appear on Triumph RAT. Clearly the bike impresses folks with it's all around abilities. Most comments seem to suggest the engine pulls from way down low and the gearbox is slick.

Looking forward to sitting on one at the Calgary show.

She appears to have fairly convenient hand-holds. Bigok
