There are some reports on the European forums of frame cracking,I am looking at current issues for my up coming purchase of a VERSYS so that's why the research,I found this on the versys forum (here's link to that forum( http://www.versys.co.uk/ )its a PDF with photo of said cracking

Thanks for the information, I will keep an eye on our frames. I would not let this deter you from buying one of these bikes, as it appears to be an isolated issue and Kawasaki is addressing it.

From the 650R board I believe only one US 650R was found to have this issue.  Still, its good to be aware of.
