Ash Valley, Kansas is about 15 miles northwest of Larned.  At least, that's where it appears on maps.  I had my suspicions that there would be little of Ash Valley left to find.  In any case, that was my destination.

On the way to Ash Valley, stopping at Raymond.

Raymond's (long closed) bank.

and the Radium, Kansas school (abandoned):

I know I'm close to Ash Valley.

It should be here.

There's a house not far away.

but, it's not looking good on the inside.

about a mile south I saw this school (also abandoned).  Could this have been Ash Valley?  I don't know.  It's clear, though, that whatever Ash Valley once was, it no longer is.

crossing the Quivira National Wildlife Refuge wetlands.

riding through Arlington, and then home.

Great images, as always.  There's a dimension to KS I find very special and your photos routinely capture that.

I’ll be dang. I assumed it’d be someplace along either coast or maybe the Rockies. That’s cool!

That looks like a lot of dots on the map around here.  Glad you had a good ride and thanks for the pics.

Bigok Wow... My grandmother owned Ash Valley for many years before she passed on, I lived in ash valley in the little house on the corner catty corner from the large 2 story white house...  The house  I lived in had paintings on the front of it... I dont know if it was still standing when you drove through Ash Valley ButI ran on to this searching for old photos of the town when it was Originally named Eli.

Jared,
Welcome to the site, although I expect this might be your only visit (you didn't say if you rode a motorcycle).  There are just a few more photographs of Ash Valley here:
