Am I ever going to be ever to ride  Headscratch

I found myself thinking about all the money i am paying for insurance without being able to ride  Crazy.  Got to be the worst thing the public ever let happen. Insuring per vehicle instead of keeping it per person.

Almost makes me want to sell one of my motorcycles  Embarassment

You think you got problems? I have five bikes sitting in the garage and enough ice on the street in front of my home to equip several hockey rinks. Now, fast forward to spring and think about all the sand on the streets and the massive potholes emerging from the melting ice.  Mad2

Shirt sleeve weather today.  Snow and ice is melting, but the street in front of the house and at the office are sheets of ice.   Darn that Global warming.

It could be a lot worse.

My year of full coverage w/ State Farm is less in Colorado than half a year was in Las Vegas. (Vegas rates are high enough to make you think you live in a suburb of L.A.) I think the rates must be based on winters like this one, yet we usually get to ride more.
I can't recall a time in the last 20 yrs I've gone this many days without riding or being able to get the bike out of the neighborhood.

I've been able to get the transalp out a few times so all is not totally lost Smile By Wednesday we'll all be out riding just to get some in before the snow hits again Thursday.

Maybe we should take the day off and go for a group ride Bigsmile

I'm looking at the sidewalk.  It's the ONLY thing dry between me and the main streets so that I could join you.  It's NOT Wadsworth, it's my flippin' neighborhood that's just plain icy (and ugly).

And a consultant to boot so I don't have to worry about vacation days Smile

And to be clear, I don't think Rita technically likes to ride (definately cool though). She just likes to be with me and I like to ride (and she absolutely does not like to ride pillion). I like it that she's willing to put up with me (so far Bigsmile ), enough to get on a motorcycle. Takes more 'balls' for her to get on than those of us who like to ride.  Inlove

Love to, but my street is a sheet of ice, as are all of the streets in the neighborhood.   If I lived just a bit closer to Colorado, I could take the side walks?

No, not very dignified.  Trying to ride the ST across the streets just to get there is a bad idea.

Wish I could go.  Enjoy the pancakes and the ride.

There are a number of insurance companies that offer seasonal coverage at a reduced rate specifically for the snow bound riders.  Looked into it?

I believe our NON-RIDING SEASON just got extended by a month given the snowfall in the Denver area today.  Never have winterized my bikes before but appears I may need to.  Gonna be a rough Spring for gravel also.   Crazy

This is really getting old. Yesterday I thought I was going crazy. I actually think this weather is starting to bring me down. At least today I was able to get out for an hour and walk the dog at Cherry Creek. I was starting to wonder what that big bright orange thing in the sky was.

Complaint? Complaint? You must be misreading something. It was admiration, not complaining. It's bleeding easy for most of us to hop on the bike and head out for a week or more for a ride. Heck I've done it with a couple of hours of notice. It's significantly harder for someone like Rita who's doing it to be with me and wouldn't throw a leg over again if I was unable to ride for some reason.

Note, I just asked her. She said she'd probably use her Ninja to run around and do errands but certainly not trips like most of us do. She's a convertible girl.
