Swap Meet Knoxville, 3/30. Free

From 1-4pm, Sunday March 30, in the lot behind the Time Warp Tea Room, there will be a free swap meet for Japanese, British and European motorcycles and bits. The Tea Room will be open, and we'll have some sort of BBQ going on as well.

BYOT or flip open your boot.

Rain date is April 6.

According to Speed's not-so-reliable web site, MotoGP will be on at 3:00pm the day of the swap meet. The Tea Room will be open with the race on the big screen. So come buy/sell some crap, and take a break and watch the race with a latte or smoothie while Nicky comes in 8th.  Again.

You might get more interest if there was a cover charge  I think you should charge 20 bucks, and require an AMA membership.  People like to be charged for stuff so they feel they are doing something important.  Donate the proceeds to Queen Elizabeth's Foundation Promoting Equality for Disabled People.  They help people with brain injuries from accidents.

Interesting side note, a medical group recently did a study and found that people recovered faster from the flu if you gave them an expensive placebo than if you gave them a cheaper generic equivalent placebo.    It's all in the mind.

Better yet, tell them it costs 20 bucks, them let everyone in for free when they show up. That'll make them feel VIP.
