Hi all.

I am planning to buy a sport touring (honda vfr 800). It is my aim to buy. However I would like to know wether there are other half automatic transmission bikes around such as Yamaha FJR 1300.

Does this honda also has the same character with yamaha?

I will be glad if you show me some other alternatives.

Regards,
Cem

I think the only other semi-automatic transmission out there is in a Suzuki scooter? Maybe an older Honda as well, the Hondamatic CB from the 70s/80s.

No, the VFR and the FJR are not similar in character of engine, ride, size or weight. The VFR is a great choice for your first.

out of curiosity, is your need/desire for an automatic bike due to a physical disability requirement, or to some psychological impediment to shifting?

The new Aprillia I posted about has auto transmission, so did a Guzzi convert many years ago.
