Two Buttes, Colorado is in eastern Colorado--

Riding along US-160 along the southern border of Kansas.

Ashland, Kansas

Ulysses, Kansas as the sun is setting (it was a cold day)

This is Two Buttes.  There's very little here, and next year there will be even less.

This community center was built by the WPA in 1936.

Turning north to Lamar, and then east on US-50.  This is the site of the Amache Japanese Internment Camp (one of several established during the Second World War).

The camp cemetery.

Stopping at Ingalls, Kansas

Thanks again Daniel.

Indeed.  Passed through the same area last July, including Ulysses.  Two Buttes is a lonely place.  You cranked out some miles on this ride!

Nice pictures!  I stopped by camp Amache about a year and a half ago.  You don't see or hear much about those places.  Well worth a stop even though there isn't much there.
