It seems like Numa has been around longer than that. He must have close to 2k miles of riding in by now if not more. It's about time I take him for another ride.  Bigsmile

Numa has changed the game a bit.  Do we need a new rule too?
Something like: 'If you take Numa, and don't post him in a new location in X days, we all get to come to your house.  To make sure he's OK (and to remind you to find him a new hiding place)'.

Sorry guys.  Two days, work happens..

Numa was hungry for some good Chicago food, so we went searching.  We had some burgers, some steaks, Italian, Japanese, even Ethiopian.  But nothing satisfied his hunger.  Then we discovered what he craved: Hot Dogs.  So we hit this little known hot dog joint.

http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc42/crewwolfy/numa3.jpg

Sadly, by the time we got there, they were closed..

http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc42/crewwolfy/numa4.jpg

I couldn't stay, but Numa insisted.  He's chilling out in a little bush across the street.

http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc42/crewwolfy/numa5.jpg

http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc42/crewwolfy/numa6.jpg

No worries, he's in his protective shell, hidden away, waiting for a hot dog and a ride.

Just got back from trying to rescuing Numa but it was not to be. to much traffic, no place to park, and i wasn't going to go poke through bushes in front of an open business. not to mention the line to get in for lunch was around the corner and to the back of the building.

looks like this is going to sit for a while. I don't enjoy riding in Chicago.

Ditto.  I'll let someone else rescue the poor little guy and take him west.  I know there are pockets of good riding close to the city, but not good enough for me.  Somebody help Numa escape the city!

I saw the method used in the ADV photo tag games with great success.   A mascot helps keeping the tags from getting 'bruced'.
A lot of the hardcore nutters would bring iphones and mobile internet access to tag from the location.  The non-geek would tag the same spot during the day and make an effort to find a new tag only to arrive home with someone else beating them to the punch.

Anyone who came along to make the tag would find the tag intact if the mascot is still present.  If Numa is gone,  then someone beat ya to it, (or some kid found it).   You can make your new tag but if numa is indeed gone for good, your responsible for procuring a new mascot.   Happy meal toys, GI Joe's, Barbies, etc etc will suffice...  No dildos please.

The mascot also adds the additional challenge of preventing pre-tagging while on the way to pick up the existing tag.   Twofinger

The year is 2010.

If a person can't post up from the tag location then they need to head back to Mayberry and grab a cane pole and carton of night crawlers...probably more their speed.

Does anyone even make a cell phone anymore that doesn't have a camera and can't access the web?  Shrug

Or is it just the "nutters" (again a MacGyver quote  Razz) that go and seek out this elusive camera phone, web capable technology?

Ive got a basic plan with one of the big providers. Nothing special. I get a free phone every 2 years which is standard at any of the providers.

My latest phone (again free) basically has the capability of replacing my laptop.

As far as "suffering from small pee-pee syndrome"? People that are "suffering from small pee-pee syndrome" don't buy fancy cell phones...

...they buy Liter bikes.  Twofinger

They all do that.   Wink

I'm gonna have to find some twisty stuff after last weekend's running around.  Damn rear tire's squaring off and it's pouring rain right now.  Thought about heading out this morning and doing the wildcard tag, as I've got a great one down the road.  Got a good idea for the next tag too.
