MX forks on an SV650

I am looking at some point to throw better forks on my SV, and I like how everyone says the supermoto bikes are awsome with long travel suspension for the road, could I throw a motocross or supermoto fork on my bike and have it work reasonably well?

Without making mods to the rear as well, I can't imagine that would work out very well. It would sit like a chopper!:eek: I believe many folks have upgraded to GSXR forks with success.

yeah I could see that.  I have a gsxr 1k shock on the rear, I wonder if all it would take is changing the dogbones on the rear suspension, people do it to lower the thing....  I'm pretty tall so I wouldn't mind the bike going up a couple inches

Sell the SV, replace it with a DL.  Problem solved.

Someone on labusas.org converted an SV into an enduro by adding a dirt bike front end.  Think his sig was amazing ricardo.  Do a search over there.
