So I'm looking to buy myself a GIVI rack to mount a topcase to my ZZR. It seems that GIVI made one of the ZX6-R (00-02), but its now discontinued  There is another rack from Five-Stars (on the TwistedThrottle site) that is made for our bikes, but its TWICE the price of the GIVI one!

I see that Givi makes a similar rack for the 00-02 ZX9R. Upon looking at the pics, the ZX9R seems to have a pretty similar rear subframe, rear seat, cowl, tailight etc... I also checked part numbers on the RonAyers.com microfiche, and most of the main parts seem to be the same for both bikes (seats, grab rails, even the entire subframe!). Could this be true? That would mean that the Givi rack for the ZX9R would be a perfect fit!  And it is still available!

So can anyone confirm that the ZX9 frame is pretty much the same? Anyone have any experience with it?

Thanks!
