I own a 2005 Yamaha FJR and am a little disappointed in the windshield system.  I have tried the V-Stream, the Rifle Sport, the Rifle Sport with Tuning Block, and all three (including the stock) with Skyway's Spacers.  The V-Stream really didn't do it for me, it was ugly and my fiancee said it was the worst one from her perspective.  I am looking for something to move the air up and out a little further without being any larger than the Rifle Sport.  I have tried posting questions regarding this on other boards and get a million responses of "use the search button" but when I do that I get a million more posts that all say "use the search button".  So, if you don't have anything constructive to say please don't bother.  I am looking to make a purchase and don't want to waste my money and am seeking help from people with experience.

I owned a 05 FJR1300 and had the V-Stream windshield when it first came out, I can understand your frustration as others have to find that sweet spot.  Without knowing more information like how tall you are, if you need to lower your bike or seat,  or considering the possibility your helmet may be also contributing to buffeting, what speed does the problem start, I considered this company to make me a custom windshield before I got the V-Stream.

Other considerations would be adding an extention like these products:
http://www.laminarlip.com/

http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/2710/363/

I've met some that had the laminarlip but are only useful under 100mph, and I think some where fastened by velcro buttons.  The later link looks more secure.  Hope this helps

I can tell you what Didn't work on my 05 fjr , the tall yamaha or cee bailey +2+2. I found the stock windshield worked the best for me, but still had an anoying buffeting, just trying to save you some $$, I had to spend some $$$ when i rode my friends ST1300 Lol

Thanks for the help thus far!  More info:  I am 6' with a 32" inseam.  I have tried a V-Stream and didn't like it, it irritated me to look at it wobble.  I have a Rifle Sport that is OK, just not any quieter than the stock when the tuning block is in and is terrible in the down position with the tuning block out.  So basically I have the stock windscreen on right now and have really been looking at the Givi windscreen with the flip and the Laminar Lip.  From all the research that I have done so far it sounds like the Lip would work and I could also try it on the Rifle windshield that I have.  But, they are really not the most aesthetically pleasing thing.  I like the looks of the Givi but have heard mixed reviews.  I think if I can raise the windblast off the top of the screen about 4 or 5 inches I would be fine.  The V-Stream did this but I didn't like where the top edge sat and my fiancee said that the wind hitting her was actually worse with the V-Stream than with the Rifle.
