So I sit here waiting for AZSprint to post a Larger Pic of his Avatar along with a New Location to Tag.... but No, that never happened...  Lol

Well, I decided to head out today to snag the current tag. The Location is the El Capitan Pass Historical Marker, S.R. 77, Arizona:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/10461908@N03/1352784217/in/set-72157601942254497/

Located on State Route 77, approx 9 miles South of Highway 70 East of Globe...

http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll217/yotes65/AZ%20Photo%20Tag/DSC00775.jpg

Now that we have that taken care of, the next tag is:

http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll217/yotes65/AZ%20Photo%20Tag/DSC00777.jpg

as far as a Clue goes... The Town which this tag resides in was Incorporated in 1907...
If more info is required, let me know.

Happy Hunting!!

Well Marty the sky is Blue in the photo so I think it is in Arizona because there are never clouds here.  But the wall shows a train so it might be is Colorado because there are trains there. Now there are also indians in the painting so it might be New york because they had indians in New York; And there apears to be Mexican dancing girls so I think this is in New Mexico!

I still have no idea Marty, P-Hoe-Nix? Headscratch

1907 is a great clue - There was only one city in AZ incorporated that year.

I wish I still lived there,    Sad    I'd have had this one nailed already.

I originally went right past it since I was heading east. I went to the east end of town, turned around and saw it on my way west. It's much bigger than I was expecting. When I saw it I knew why Marty cropped it. While I was taking the picture the cowboy's horse decided to eat the snacks in my tankbag. SW corner of Willow and Broad, Globe, AZ.

Next tag.
Clues:

- It's not the destination, it's the journey!
- You have to leave Maricopa County to get there.

Great Job Bill !!

I see you have now given me a Small Challenge... That is if someone doesn't beat me to it.

edit: 1/24/09, 10:40 PM...
I had an idea of the location... and Yippee, I was able to confirm it. Now if I can only get the rest of the pieces of my bike, I can go snag this location. Now if I can only think of what I will use for the next Tag.   Wink

Lol  My bad, I was zipping through the thread and just naturally assumed that was the classic steed of discriminating thumper riders everywhere.   Razz

J/K, nice Big Red Pig.  Now suitably chastised, what windscreen is that?

Tagged. Tortilla Flat, AZ.

It was a bonus-points situation. When I rolled into town this is the first thing I saw:

Great Job Bill... I'm glad you were able to head out yesterday (Sat.) to snag the Hanging Man. I didn't even think of posting on STN about Ducati being out at TTF...

Now if I can only beat GilaMonster to your tag...

OK... how about a Clue... I believe that I that I have narrowed it down to 1 "National" Location. However all of the "National's" cover an awful lot of AZ Land with so many roads.  Crazy

yep... that was the easy part... which lead me to this site: http://www.fs.fed.us/recreation/map/state_list.shtml#Arizona

There is only Six Area's that the US Department of Agriculture's Forest Service has in AZ. Based on the Vegetation, I have narrowed it down to either the Tonto or the Coronado Nation Forest. Last Friday, I think I'd covered all of the roads in the Tonto National Forest... there's not many and I may have missed one. So that leaves the Coronado National Forest...  There's an Forest Office on 24th & McDowell that I plan on stopping by to pick up a couple of maps that will hopefully show all roads that go through any of the National Forest...
