Anyone removed front plastic off an 06???  I'm trying to do some electrical work in conjunction with installing a junction box and it would be a lot easier if I could get that plastic beside the battery to come off.  I have panels A and C off and all visible nuts and screws that should hold the plastic in question to include the mirror off.  Looks like something is behind the holding the plastic but I can't figure it out from the parts diagram.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

you try looking at any of the FJR sites? I know they usually have lot of that sort of info there.

I've got an S.O.S. on the FJR Forum and just got a reply from a guy who has a tech bulletin on it.  Most of the stuff on those sites are for pre-05 until the user base catches up.  They look the same but there are a bunch of differences.
Thanks,

I always get one for my bikes.  Just haven't got to it yet.  FYI, I talked to the service manager on this and looked at the service manual (over the phone) and we came to the conclusion, that if you want to do anything with anything other than the panels listed in the user's manual, you will be stripping the entire front end.

Sounds like a perfect oportunity for you to do the research, make notes, take pictures, and submit the information so that one (or several) of the FJR sites can host it. Someone has to take the bull by the horns. That's usually the first person with the need to know.

There are numerous threads on FJR Forum on plastic removal on the '06.  If you got the TSB from Kaitsdad, it relates to the '06 FJR.  The "user base" caught up a long time ago on FJR Forum.  There is abundant information on FJR Forum about the '06 bike.  Spend a little time using the search feature and don't make assumptions based on lack of information.

What makes you think I didn't search the FJR Forum????  I got the Tech Bulletin for changing out the digital display from Kaitsdad which goes through removal of the plastic.  "abundant" is NOT the term I would apply and there weren't any assumptions being made based on lack of information, they were based on lack of results.  When you say "spend a little time", that's an understatement if I ever heard one.  I searched all the major FJR forums before I posted here and on the FJR Forum.  By the way, to remove the fairing panels, either side that are just behind the headlights, you pretty much have to remove ALL the plastic up front to include the windshield and headlights according to the tech bulletin and the service manager I talked to.
