OK, I'm thinking of getting a bike that would be good for all day (400+ miles) 2 up riding.  Currently my 800ss is good for about 100 miles with a passenger before the passenger starts to complain (it has a Sargent seat), and my St4s while it is good all day for the rider, the passenger lasts maybe 150 miles before she starts to complain.  That bike has the most current Ducati seat which I find comfy...
I've had a Wing 1800, and that was fab for the passenger but I don't want to go back to something like that.  Is the 990 a legitimate all day 2-up comfy bike? Or can be made so? As in not just bearable but comfy for a passenger?  A backrest for the passenger would be key.  I've also posted this on the BMW site in re. to the GS.
Thanks party peeps!

p.s. the St4s definitely stays!!

Not surprising that opinions vary.

The owner of the shop here rides all over Idaho with his wife on the back of his 990. They ride some difficult terrain. I haven't tried it yet myself but I've provided a few links.
