I'm not so sure how long of a wait it might be for an ST 1098. One of the dealers in town was saying it was in the works and would be part of the lineup (2010 I think he said

Don't know if it's true, but one would think the dealers would have some clue. Still overkill in my opinioin.
A question for the multi 1100 folks. Is that the same engine as in the hypermotard?
I rode the hyper and really didn't like it's torque curve. I kept hitting the rev limiter which just didn't seem right on a Ducati. Sure it had low end grunt, but the thing cut out before you even got to the top end. I wouldn't want that on a road going bike unless it's a thumper.
