DD. I think they call em Grouse out here. And Nitro; I was damned impressed with the KLRs. They took a lickin and kept on tickin. But then this old guy from Anchorage pulled off by us on a 650 Vstrom with rock plate and crash bars and I was totally impressed. Back on the Vstrom wagon.

Zed and klrchickie nice meeting you...we will have to make a excuse for a  coffee meet in Golden  or such some  day.


Glad the rest of you made it home ok..I ended up in MB  on Sunday for 3 days, highs of 10c, and generally as  ##%$ desolate  across the prairies as usuall..certainly no place for a bike....ever!!  

So looking for another decent ride before winter!!  have a awfull  feeling a fantastic summer is drawing to a end and being spoiled this year I dont want it to end!!!!  

I know I will be back in the deep white stuff in 6 weeks!  

Off to Mission tomorrow to look at a boat.should be a nice ride down the canyon..but no time to  get to the island  to see Rocket!!


Might get to Tofino next week if it aint raining, possibly Olympic Penn....will see..

 Also   planning a ride down to vegas to the drags in oct..if the weather  and $$ lets me. have to figure out the warmest route, I expect  the east side of the cascades....no _5 for me and I cant handle the moving parking lot on the coast..so guess thats it..



I really need to  use up these tires before  spring as i have a free one waiting at the local Yammy dealer that runs out this fall.

Well..... as a matter of fact, we have intentions to be through Golden this weekend!  Once each Saturday & Sunday, likely.

We're thinking of a little jaunt up to Mica dam on that nice twisty road.  Not sure if it will be late Saturday or early Sunday, with an overnight in Revelstoke.

Can't waste these last few nice days!!!

Great write up Colleen. I had no idea the scenery was that spectacular. I guess I need to slow down and smell the roses. Also makes me want to rush out and get a KLR or similar type beast. Next year I'll make more time for more of the ride.

On a different note, I just discovered Dualsport BC.com. All those great photos of New Years rides in the pouring, icy rain. I'm stoked.

We damn near froze to death!  

Glad you had a great Banff Run! Enjoyed lurking through it...maybe next year I'll hook up with DH66 and join you.
