Picked up the bike along with the front 17" wheel. The rear 17" is supposed to be here in a couple weeks.

After only 75 miles the right rear turn signal is experiencing melt down! Not a big deal as I never can keep rear turn signals on the bikes anyway. Always end up switching to flush mounts.

That's the new 690 Enduro right? Hmmm.... It's on my short list for next year to upgrade/replace the DRZ.

Ditto.  Lol

Looks like turn signal placement might have been a bit of an after thought. But with that new motor   underneath you who cares, right?  Drool

Put both turn signals on the right side. That should solve that problem.

Woh! holy sweetness, that bike (and the Husky 610 TE) are at the top of my short list of next bikes.  How are the vibrations?  This it would be easy to pile miles on it?  Fuel tank range?  How is the head light at night, my friends 640 sucks even more than my DR650's.  I want details!!!

The vibes are very light. Much better then the 640's. It has less vibes then my XRR in fact, The headlight is OK, nothing to write home about. Better then most all but my Aprila on the D/S, tard side of the garage. Needs a Renazco seat for doing some serious milage.

Not really.  But I do need to get some pics of you on your bikes.  Have you read the 'seat height whine' thread on ADV?  Lol

That's very nice. Love the color.  Bigok

A 690 too. That's better than a 610. OK, I need at least a 691 now.  Smile

Congrats.

I rode with a fella with a new 690 SMC yesterday. I noticed he had relocated his rear signals down to either side of the Lic plate. Lucky for him he knew of the issue before he ran it. Seems to have solved the problem., we ran hard all day with no ill effects to his signals.  I would think your dealer might spring for a new signal and then you could do the relocate ithem in a similar fashion.

It sure looks good.  Curious to hear which niche it fills best, given your stable.

It's great to hear that the vibes are good and I'm glad to see they put the damn chain on the right correct side of the bike!

Showed my oldest boy this thread/your bike.  While he's just getting to 'that age' I can tell he thinks it is sex on wheels.  I've never seen him look at a machine like he did at that one.

We're gonna have to have a 'talk'  Lol

I don't know the seat height, but after sitting on one yesterday, I think I can manage it and I have a 30" inseam.

Congrats on the new Enduro.  This one is at the top of my list right now as my next DS bike.  It's even my wallpaper so I drool over it every day.

That's a poor design for the left turn indicator.  Please keep us updated on how you like the bike.

Have you seen these???

Are you having any of the stalling/FI issues I've seen posts about on KTMtalk? Rumor has it the 690 really doesn't like life below 3K RPM. If so, how does that work out in low traction situations (loose or muddy hillclimbs where you would lug the engine)?
