check cycletrader.com and compare to other shops in your area.  there's usually a large shop or two listing bikes on there at killer prices.  this will give you an idea whether or not it's in the ballpark.   Thumbsup

that would get a lot of different types of bikes, like an sv650, klr, most motards. Is the cruiser style what you REALLY want to go for? If so, look for a GOOD used yamaha 1100. You will want to move up to it if you ride the 750 for  any length of time. Heck, you could find some older I-4's in a cruiser stle and have the best of both worlds( the Harley crowds would mock you), be able to cruise and have good top end.

If it's the bike you want, and you have the dough, then it's the right price. Smile

If you want to see what dealer invoice is, go to www.cyclebuy.com and pay $15 and there you have it.  I've used this website for our last 2 new bike purchases and it was very helpful.

Zemog,
If you have time to make a call and you aren't too far from Chatanooga....They list the VT750C2 for $6183. That of course doesn't include tax or tag....and there may be an upcharge for the 2 tone....Honda had charged more for these options for years....If you have your own money this is the place to buy....that should be just about all else you pay out the door....you simply pay your tax and tag when you get home. On a deal like this what you need from them is a VIN, so you can obtain coverage from your ins agent get a copy for proof of insurance and they can issue you a transit or a 30 day tag....If you plan to finance you might better call ahead for price to see if they beat your price which isnt too good by the way.....thats almost full pop on the bike. Not trying to be a smart arse but more research is called for on this one my friend....good luck on your purchase....

Just some questions - are you looking at this because you really like the particular bike, or just want a new bike?  Because if the latter, there are plenty of reliable slightly-used bikes that are much more capable...  Remember, that thing will depreciate a LOT the second you ride out of the dealer's lot...
