Gawd, we're just dropping like flies.

I feel crappy, I'm going off to bed.  Hope you all had fun, and thanks for the call Dan.

We had fun, and we even took the time to make fun of Mookie's svelt metrosexual lifestyle  Lol

Seriously, thank you all for the well-wishes. It was great to see those who could make it and I know that someday I'll see the rest of you again (especially if you venture down to WCRM next year...)  Photos will appear in due time  Cool

Well that was fun!  And the food was fantastic!  Thanks Dano and Katherine.  Goodbye Colleen. Smile

We started on the deck, but moved to the kitchen after a rain shower broke out.

Then some metrosexual broke out???
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u179/denydog/IMG_2-1.jpg

Then people moved to Dano's expansive garage to be closer to the bikes.

Colleen decided to show us how she rides.  Bigok
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u179/denydog/IMG_1-2.jpg

Then a rainbow broke out over the gathering.  Inlove
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u179/denydog/IMG_4.jpg

Then people moved to the bonfire, and the smores were broken out, mmm...
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u179/denydog/IMG_5.jpg

And the conversation continued as Colleen kept poking the fire...   :pokestick:

Nice shots Deny. We did have all kinds of weather, sun, rain and wind.  Kudos to all that made it over.   Nice variety of bikes, no two the same. I'll have to spend today drinking and eating all the leftovers.  I think that cake is gonna do me in.. Lol   Hope Dave made his 1:00 A.M Ferry Ride home.. EEK!

(from my website)

The BBQ was slated to start around 4 that Saturday afternoon. I was the second one there, and more people continued to trickle in over the next few hours. Dan and Katherine had everything set up for inside/outside hosting, as the weather didn't look like it was going to cooperate. The forecast was not too surprising seeing as we had used up all of our good weather during the work week. But for now it was dry out and the grill was heating up nicely. Dan had some homebrew that was well-received and some of my favorite rootbeer in the fridge for me. Ahhhh - how thoughtful!

ol' Rocket sent flowers! (that was incredibly thoughtful Mark - thank you  Bigok )

Just as the food was getting ready to be served, the first drops of water started. Within minutes there was a deluge, not typical of the PNW, but apparently Mother Nature felt the need to condense a few typical rainy days into this one event. Those with good sense went inside while the rest of the gang stayed outside (Katherine is excluded from being lumped in with them, as I think she was just being a good hostess).

Ryan, Randy, Dave and Katherine

Dave joins the crowd, too stubborn to come in out of the rain

The bikes were at least dry

Yep, that's rain.

Mmm - cake and berries!

Full rainbow over the garage

While inside, we had tasty chicken, dogs, brats and CAKE. Mmmmm, tasty and rich and chocolatey. It was good. Then the rain blew away, a rainbow came along telling us that it was safe to start the bonfire and we spent the wee hours of the evening making s'mores and sitting around the fire talking about any number of subjects. It was almost midnight before the last of us rolled out of the driveway.

Early stages of the bonfire

Thank you to everyone who came and even those who couldn't come but expressed their thoughts of goodwill. You are all truly a great group of people!

I got it at The Bon for 80 bucks, it came with free deodorant  Bigsmile

But yeah, it was cool to see you guys and it sucks that Colleen is leaving.   Thanks for the great job on hosting Dan and Kathrine.  That homebrew was tasty  Drool
