Anyone got a lead on an Red 07 Norge?
«
on:
June 12, 2008, 09:17:35 PM »
After much searching, reading and mental gymnastics, I want a Norge,
but, it's got to be RED. So far I've found 3 used silver ones but nary a red one in sight. Anyone out there have a lead on a used one, maybe thinking about selling for whatever reason or maybe know of a smokin' deal on a leftover?
I've called 7-8 CA dealers, only one has indicated he'll consider an offer on a new red one but even if he comes down, I'm still looking at around $13k and that is really pushing the budget too far. So anyone know a friend, neighbor or fellow rider thinking about selling?
Thanks,
Roger

Check out
www.motointernational.com
in Seatle. They can't list the price on the web anymore because of Guzzi corporate policy, but they had 07's listed for $11,900 before setup, which I would consider a great deal, especially since they are considered one of the best Guzzi dealers in the country.
Speakers in Ohio(
www.speakers-cycles.com
) also has 2 07 red Norges listed. I purchased my Norge from Speakers & was very pleased with the service, but Moto International is much closer to you so I would call them. I looked for a long time before buying mine & never came across any used red ones, only silver. No disrespect to the silver Norge owners, but if it's Italian it has to be Red. Besides, chicks dig the red

The red is nice, but have you seen it in black?

No, haven't seen the black, but for me it's just got to be red.

Make sure that if you buy the bike out of state, it is CA legal. If not you will not be able to get it registered (unless it has more than 7500 miles on it).

Ton Up in Phoenix has a red one on their showroom floor and another silver one at the warehouse. Both leftover 07's.

There's a new multi-dealership that recently opened in Pembroke Pines, FLA; they sell Kawi's, M-G's & Aprillias. I was there 2 weeks back & they had a good stock of M-G's on the floor, several Norge's included. If memory serves me correctly, they had several colors available. Might want to check out their site & give them a call: http://pineskawasaki.com/Default.asp

Thanks for all the input and help! According to several people, all the Norges are 50-state legal so should be good in that respect.
I'd prefer to stay west of the Rockies for this purchase, don't mind a fly-ride home deal but can't afford too much vacation time. Is this fun or what.

Just read thread on GuzziTech talking about the lowers that are cracking, is this pretty common?

Easy way to confirm this is to have someone who owns a Norge that bought it in a state other than CA to look at the emmisions sticker. If it includes CA, then they are 50 state legal.

Well, had a lead on a used red one but seller decided to keep it instead so although disapointed, I figure it speaks well for the bike, so the search continues.
Did find a demo with 400 miles on it but not sure how I feel about buying one, kinda prefer to break it in my way plus it was only $300 less than I had found a new one for.

I noticed with just over 40,000 miles, the sweet spot on my V11 has gone from 3750 rpm to about 4900 rpm...so maybe there's some truth to that bit of folklore

On another note, activity on this board seems light, are most of the Guzzi peeps hanging around Wild Goose?

Been to v11/lemans, and they do seem nice but was curious if the Norge folks spend much time there since that is my focus right now, trying to learn all I can.
