Jeez, Orson, I'm not sure I'm ready for the commitment of "absolutely."     Bigsmile

But my next bike might well be a 1200 Sport with the 4 valve engine.  I live about five blocks from the best Guzzi shop in the world (Moto International) so buying a Guzzi always seems like a good option.

After I get used to hooning about on the new Mille, that is.  Heh, heh, heh.   Cool

I love Brazilian supermodels.   Inlove

Guzzi's are really cool, but I don't have any nearby dealers, and they seem a bit heavy for tight challenging twisties, which is what I like the most.   Shrug

The "Quite Possibly" option is missing which is where I fall in. I loves my KTM 950 Supermoto, but the wife would like something more accomodating. I need to visit my local Guzzi dealer and see if they have a 1200 Sport in.

I spent some time in Brasil, and I liked what I saw. I would definately enjoy that association with a Brasiliana.

Hmmm...
Let me check my Italian bike manufacturer list of wants:

1. Another Ducati
2. Aprilla
3. Vespa/Piaggia
4. Bianchi
5. Moto Guzzi

Still a ways down this I'm afraid.

What? with Guzzi's much loved and traditional air cooling and two pushrod operated valves per cylinder? Somehow BLS I don't think your condition is improving... Sad

Some years ago I had my pen out over my cheque book as I drooled over an 850 LeMans. I did not buy it. Why? Not sure really but likely it was because my mind was awash with horsepower and the 850 merely delivered giggles in that department. Regret colours that whole event.

Today is another story. I am keeping my Triumph forever and am fairly sure a Guzzi is in my future but will have to come after a dualsport. I lust after the modern LeMans and would have one in an instant were it not for the usual issues of saving money for the sprogues education etc etc.

I still live with mild hope that Orson will buy another LeMans and keep it at my house in order to occasionally sample the splendor of the Kootenays.  Dream on bubba.  Cool

Despite Orson's best efforts... Guzzi's condition has been a steady decline as a true performance machine
ever since they dropped their stunning 500cc V8 Racer... not even mighty Honda has anted up such a
gem...

I have fallen into this mind set lately that I only want to acquire vehicles that I can acquire and have factory serviced locally.  I used to go and buy whatever I wanted and worried about the service later.  But, too many years of putting up w/ the hassles of going as far as taking days off work to take a bike / car to a garage has made me a bit jaded.

Now, if someone told me that they would come get the bike or car to do service (a Pittsburgh auto dealer told me they would and would sign a contract to that effect), then I would be open to that.

I like Guzzis very much.  But, without a local dealer or a dealer willing to come pick it up for any service, my answer is no.

There should be an "On the short list" option. I also live close to the worlds best Moto Guzzi dealer so support isn't really an issue, I am definately interested in a Norge as an alternative to an R1200RT or a Harley Road Glide.....

All three would work for me, good dealer support for all three price isn't really an issue though the Norge is a few bucks cheaper, the Road Glide  a little slower...tough call..... Headscratch

Cool looking, but he said the rotary engine made it handle too odd for him to get used to.

I picked What would Spock ride because it was funny to think of what Spock would ride.

I say CBR1000RR; he'd ride it wickedly fast, never miss a shift, never bobble, and when you asked him how the ride was he'd answer dryly: "Facinating".

Mr. Scot would be on an Enfield that's "Given' ya all she can nooow! ya try poosh it anymore she's goona blow!"

McCoy (Bones) customer chopper trailer queen "Dammit Jim! I'm doctor not a motorcyclist!"

Cpt. Kirk Prolly would ride a Guzzi, and pick up hot aliens with it.

I too went with financially irresponsible but in truth I'd love to buy one, the Norge appeals to me except for the insane bag release mechanism, and the sport model is awesome. What a wonderful sound they have. It is like a beemer with personality. I love them but alas will probably stick to what I know the beemers . Although I am starting to jones for a V Strom  650 and extend my touring to fire roads and other places I don't dare go on the beemer.

Yes plz! I had a Mk II LeMans for about a week back in the early 90's when I managed a bike shop. The owner of the shop bought it out from under me when he found out what it was worth. It was offered to us by a car dealer who took it as partial payment for a car. Ive wanted one for years.

I'd take this one...or an 80's Guzzi I could turn into something like this....

My answer doesn't match any of the listed responses.  The Moto Guzzi Stelvio in high on my "wanna" list.

In red of course!

Spock would ride a Hayabusa for obvious reasons, and so do I.

When Moto Guzzi makes a Hayabusa, wake me up.

actually, Spock continually struggles to suppress his human desires for lust and wanton desire. The emotionless Vulcan side he displays to the world is but a mere shell devoid of flowery meadows or puppy dawgs.

Spock's hidden soul cries out. Spock is a Guzzisti inside.

I like Guzzi's. I had a 750 Ambassador back in the early seventies. Great touring bike in its time. A little bit on the loud side, sounded almost like a Harley. Not much vibration for a big twin. All in all a decent machine for the time. I have not seen that many on the road lately.

Took a Griso 1200 8v out for a twenty mile toodle today while waiting on a tire change at my Aprilia/Guzzi/Triumph dealer.

Sweet bike, the new mill transforms it into something special in every aspect, rather than being just a good looking bike with character that the old 4v was. My dealer hardly ever sells current model year Guzzis, most get sold a year or two after when there's factory money to lower the price, but the new Griso is good enough that it can almost justify its $17k CAD sticker.

With the aftermarket pipe, and a different set of handlebars, I'll give the Breva a definite maybe!

That's the Breva Sport, usually just called the Sport 1200 in the US.  The regular Breva is a lot more pedestrian.

Moderators, please cancel this poll.

The recent spate of Guzzi purchases has shown that this data is flawed

People go out to buy a quart of milk and come back with a Guzzi   Confused

I'll have to devise a different poll.
