Some of you may recall I posted about this some months ago when a fourth foot in a sneaker was found washed up along the coast here. Well, we are up to 6 now. Really, really odd.

Sixth foot found on B.C. shore

JUSTINE HUNTER

Globe and Mail Update

June 18, 2008 at 3:41 PM EDT

Another human foot is believed to have been discovered on a B.C. shore, the sixth such grisly discovery in the last ten months.

RCMP in Campbell River on Vancouver Island said a local woman strolling a beach found an Adidas sneaker this morning, containing what appears to be a man's foot.

“It's certainly suspicious,” Sergeant Mike Tresoor said in an interview.

“A lady walking on the beach alerted us to this. … It appears to be human remains. We haven't absolutely confirmed it – it will be confirmed through a pathologist.”

It appears to be a man's right foot, size 10. The first four were also right feet.

Interesting. I guess it's only feet that don't appeal to this psychos' taste. Maybe it's a Sasquach that just strips em off to the foot like some shrimp tail.

Expect the police to make great strides in their investigation when an anonymous tipster (calling himself "Lefty") fingers a doctor named Marten.  He will not be the sole perp arrested, however.

Although they may seem off-kilter now, I fully expect the RCMP to strike a new balance shortly.

The prosecution had a crazy podiatrist they were going to charge in this case but the crown couldn't come up with enough evidence on him. The judge said they didn't have a leg to stand on.

Seems like it would be an easy task to figure out who these belong too by matching DNA to missing people, unless no one cares about these missing people...or someone is doing psychotic deeds on a ship that come in and out of the straits.  Man, that would be tough to solve. Crazy

Too many people were waiting for the other shoe to drop, which made this a toetally plausable hoax.

This case is untied to the others.  After a paws to actually investigate, they determined the foot inside was not human.

Latest "foot" found on Vancouver Island a hoax

VANCOUVER, B.C. — The British Columbia Coroner's Service says a prankster is responsible for a sixth foot that apparently washed ashore on the south coast of the province.

On Wednesday, a woman walking along a beach near Campbell River on Vancouver Island said she spotted some bones protruding from a size 10 black Adidas running shoe.

Five other feet have been found in the Vancouver area since last August. Those feet were human.

But the coroner's service says a forensic pathologist and anthropologist examined the latest foot and found it actually was an animal paw inserted into the shoe, along with a sock packed with dried seaweed.

The coroner's service called the hoax reprehensible and disrespectful to the families of missing people.
