That's it - I've lost it. Monday was such an un-productive day, I actually thought today was Tuesday.

I actually ended up picking it up Tuesday. Took a little ride in the mountains. Nice, very nice, but I have to agree with all the criticism about the seat though. Either my ass or the seat will have to get broken in soon
I plan to get all my break in miles done this weekend.

You're in luck! Sargent is releasing their Bandit seat next Wednesday:
http://sargentcycle.com/suzwsbandit.htm
There is still time to pre-register, and I think you get 20% off for doing so, but don't quote me on that.
Awesome seats. Probably the only thing better is a Russell, and not by much. You also get a much more eye-pleasing seat with the
Sargent.

99.999% - almost the perfect bike - SSA and possibly belt drive would have put this bike totally ahead of all standards/ STs on the market today.

Awesome.
Now all I have to do is wait for Suzuki to pull out of Myanmar (I know, I know, shouldn't let personal ethics get in the way of an awesome bike purchase...) and I can get one for my very own.
In case I
can't
get over it, is there ANY bike out there that matches the B1250 in all-around greatness? I really would like to get a new bike next year, and this one tops my list, but what else comes close?

Hmm...Blackbird? C14? FJR? Sprint ST? VFR? All fine bikes but a whole lot more $. And if you love torque, well the 1250 is a monster that doesn't need to be wound out to get to its power sweet spot. I've got 5K on my 1250 now and since adding Holeshot's Stage 1, she's making 115HP and 93 ft lbs. More than enough for most people, and more than enough for me, a passenger (300# combined), and 35 pounds of gear and clothes for trips. But if you want more, Dale's header is due out soon and he's getting another 20HP with it after 200+ Dyno pulls. And the color matched OEM top and side cases are fantastic.
Congrats on the new bike,

FZ1 is close as far as concept/purpose/ergos. But almost polar opposite as far as power delivery.
