Well my sister has bought a 500 shadow 1986.  The bike runs great, but is discharging the battery.  How much work is it to change the generator/alternator?  Is this something that can be change easily or should it be taken into a shop.  I work on bikes often but do not have experiance with the electrical problems.

Thanks
