Yewbetcha. I didn't know I was going to buy one, but it followed me home the Friday before Memorial Day  Bigsmile My husband was over at the great Moto International on Aurora Ave. in Seattle, signing the papers on a Capo Nord, and he suggested I test ride the Shiver and I was hooked. Traded in my well-ridden and well-loved Honda 919 without a backward glance then and there!

The Shiver runs a bit lean between 3,000 and 4,000 RPM, but otherwise burbles like a teapot and I love the styling and handling. We're going to pack up and head out on tour later today or early tomorrow (it's been punishingly hot here in central Washington) and I look foward to seeing how it handles on long distances, however, I've found the saddle very comfy on the 300-mile round trip to Seattle and back.

I'm a big fan of the Shiver so far!

*g* Well right now it's got touring stuff all over it, but you might want to see one that way too.

Do you worry about the oil filter being exposed the way it is ?

No sir, it hasn't been a problem; in fact, it's nice not to have to take the bike apart to get at it.

Silver is definitely a great colour  Bigsmile You don't say where you're at, but if it's anywhere on the west coast (prolly not come to think of it, with the Boston Celtics logo), think about contacting Dave at Moto International http://www.motointernational.com/. They've got a well-deserved reputation for great service and really fair prices. Mine retailed for $9,000 and he gave me a good price on the 919, so I am a happy camper. I've been looking for the right bike to buy from them, and this definitely is the RIGHT bike from my perspective.

Quick update: just returned from a 1,200 mile short tour of Highway 101 through Eugene to John Day, then up the fabulous Hwy 395 (a short trip, but I twisted the helluva out of my left ankle the first day out). The Shiver performed like a champ, getting up to 60 MPG in the back country. The only issue I had was a false neutral merging onto I-90 on the homeward leg, otherwise, it's just a great, great bike. For touring, the only real issue I have is the miniscule gas tank: even given the mileage, a Shiver Owner's going to be looking for stations to top off after 130 miles or so.

yep , Shiver looks great ( OK, potential) hope they make a legit SPORT - TOUR bike, say a 5.8 gal tank, half fairing, etc  ( SV style but bigger) and quality parts, not budget.

yeah, until the wind picked up from Pendleton to Wenatchee; that knocked the mileage down to 52 or so. I hate wind!

I haven't had the pleasure of riding in Kansas, but certainly have encountered wind on the prairies. Right now, I haven't got a flyscreen to tuck behind, so the wind is doubly aggravating. There are a limited number of after-market acoutrements for the Shiver, so for those who simply cannot wait, like me, it's going to take a certain amount of patience and ingenuity while on tour  Headscratch

Sounds like a winner to me, maybe they will do that to the Mana, first.

Hey All! New here to the forum. I have been on the Bandit forums for a long time and well since I do not own a Bandit anymore I thought I would give this spot a try.

I sold my B to pick up the Shiver and well with out a doubt the best thing I have done for a long time. It is built very well and overall performance rating to me is off the charts. It rides smooth and responds very well.

But I will hold off on rating it completely until I am through the break in and get to open it up.

So far Aprilia has engineered a great machine.

Thanks! I keep saying to myself while riding it... What a bike!

What color did you pick up? And do you have a place online for after markets? Like a screen for the Raidiator?

Mine's silver to show off that pretty gold trellis frame. D'you know about the Aprilia forum sponsored by AF1 racing? They've got a few parts, but the coolest things seem to be available in Europe.
