Fun stuff and well illustrated.

So I missed why you went from the KLR to the DR, care to repeat?  The weird thing I've noticed about my KLR is how heavy it feels on gravel and how light it feels on pavement.   Lol

And yes dual-sporting is very addictive especially if you are lucky enough to live in the West near national forests or evidently in West "By Gawd" Virginia.   Thumbsup

Sorry about the quick switch on you.  I did trade the KLR for the DR.  I'm still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.  I know part of me still wants to be part Russian.   Bigok

Between northwestern Virginia, western Pennsylvania, western Maryland, and West Virginia, we have a lot of access to National Forests with some pretty good roads.  It's amazing how different the landscape is when I read one of yours or XLR8's rides.  It looks so open over there.  On our roads, you're lucky to see where the next 100 yards is going to take you.  Every corner offers up a new surprise.

Good -- before your and Mookie's ride reports, I would have been perfectly happy on a DRZ400S.  Now I have to go dig up another $1000 on an SM cuz they tres cooler!

You won't regret it.  Though I have to admit, I can't believe how fun the DR is on tight technical paved roads despite having knobby tires.  I would love to have a supermoto kit for it and go the other way sometimes.   Inlove
