Does Harley davidson now own the MV Augusta company or just part of it?

Because if they own the company then I can't imagine they would actually make a bike the MV way.  Crazy

Or make  bike anyone would want to buy in europe. couch

I would hate to be a MV Augusta owner now.

MV Augusta was a privately-held company, owned by the Castiglioni family that has owned Cagiva since the beginning, and had resurrected MV in the 90's.  Harley is acquiring 100% of MV/Cagiva, so I've read, along with $70 million dollars worth of debt.  Though they may shuffle some managing directors, the current chairman, Claudio Castiglioni of the original family, will remain.  I would guess that a large portion of the Italian workforce will remain as well.

I ride an MV and an H-D.  All will be fine.  It is good news for both companies.  Oh, and I don't hate being an MV Agusta owner now.

I agree with Sfarson. It will be good for both companies. MV now has the cash they need and Mr. Tamburini and the engineers will put it to good use.
