Yup just like the thread title states-I did the deed.  After much thought I wheeled and dealed on an 08 VFR and I picked her up today.  What a bike!!!  The ride back to home to Cold Lake from Edmonton was thrilling and my first time on 2 wheels in 2 years.  I named her the "Silver Fox" out of respect for the fighter squadron I used to work for.  And since it doesn't exist without pictures.................  She is kinda my b-day present to myself.  I luv me  Bigsmile

I have seen the factory bags and they are not large enough.  I am going to buy some Givi gear next year.

Great news, rigger! I always drooled over Burners Canadian-only silver VFR, even so far as to consider repainting mine the same colour. I have no doubt that you'll get scads of pleasure from this bike  Bigsmile

On the ride back to Cold Lake today the bike consumed 16 litres in 300 kms.  Thats about 47 mpg at 300kms on the clock.  Oh happy dayz Bigsmile

I just hope you don't fall asleep while riding it.  Razz

P.S. I know SWriverstone had the Givi set-up on his VFR, you might want to see how he liked it. I'm sure he'll tell you all the pros and cons in great detail.

Studies have show that silver bikes are 37% sexier than black ones*, and 62% sexier than red or any other color.  Congrats on a sexy new bike.

*Sadly, studies on whether the bike imbues any sexiness upon the rider are inconclusive.

But it remains a scientifically proven fact that the red ones are, indeed, the fastest.
