Steering head bearing adjustment on 03 Road King

The manual is a little unclear about how to determine if the steering head bearings are adjusted correctly. It states that the front end from full lock left should swing right then left and then make a " partial third swing " back right.
My question is how much on that third swing back right?
I rebuilt the front end on my bike and if I do the test five times I have at most about 1 or 2 inches of right swing on that third swing. Thanks in advance if you have anything to add or help.

Any amount as long as it swings back. That is why they do not state a min.. If it it swinging back 1-2", you did a great job!

Thanks a million for your reply.
But, would 1/2" to 1" be better or worse?
The bike is still up on the lift I can adjust again!

Yes Sir, re-build the front steer head bearings and adjust the "Swing By" and SURPRISE no more high speed wobble in the turns!
