I'm pretty excited to be relocating to someplace with so much variety to explore. I had the DELUXE first ride around my new home yesterday. We rode a great mix of stuff: fun paved twisties, a mercifully small amount of gravel, lots of really nice dirt two track, and a healthy amount of awesome single track.

GPS says 97 miles, but it was shut off for part of the paved bit into Sisters for lunch and back out to the first place in the dirt that I wanted to mark a waypoint. It was probably more like a 120 mile ride. We met up at 9am and I got home at 5pm (with a stop at the one of the fine local brew pubs for some lemonaide  Smile ).

I gotta take some action shots next time.

GPS check on some single track:

Big Three Creeks Lake and Tam McArthur Rim. Awesome spot. I need to come back here on the main route and just spend the day...hike into Little Three Creek Lake.

Single track with a view:

Post-ride GPS track fun...

What a cool spot

Nice. Maybe I don't want to sell my 610.

That is an interesting dilemma given the overlap between the TE and the KTM.  Still, they are probably different enough you'd regret parting with the TE.  Ever thought of going the other way and selling the KTM for a strictly pavement bike?

Well I don't want to hijack Kurt's thread. Keven_Stevens already got mad at me for hijacking the ZX-14 thread.  Bigsmile

But, I like the 990 to much to ever sell it. In fact I can't imagine not ever having one. Ever. Again. Period.

End of story.

Really.

Sorry Kurt.
