A friend has a 1980 CB750C, the Ignition Modules under the seat melted.  Does anyone remember if this was a common issue with them.  Were they prone to this, due to something else.  He is buying 2 new modules, and I told him to check stator output, check regulator/rectifier resistance, etc.  Just wondering if anyone has any tips for something he should look for.

Thanks.

I'm not sure, but head over to www.sohc4.net and their forums for an answer to just about any CB related question you might have.

If it is a 1980 CB750C it is a DOHC engine. I would try www.cb1100f.net.
