What is the distance between the seat and footpegs?
Are peg lowering kits available?
The reason I ask is because the ZZR is on my short list of
replacements for my aging FJ. Since I too am aging, the seat/peg
relationship could be a deal breaker.

Dunno off the top of my head, but it is tighter than the GPz1100. With an airhawk seat pad it feels about the same (i.e., roomy).

If you can find a low-miles 95-96 GPz1100, it's another very worthy successor, and about $2-3 grand. Really easy to work on, too.

The March 06 issue of "Motorcyclist" says ZZR1200 egos are 28.5" seat to bars, 18.0 seat to pegs, and 6.6 bar rise (above seat point).  The peg distance is comparable to most other bikes in its category, the reach is a bit more and bars a bit less than some but so all told it leans a bit to the sporting side of the equation, similar to the VFR (within half and inch).

By todays sportbike standards the ZZR is long.It gives more stretch than most. They are a bit heavy as far as feel, altho very responsive to input. But stable as a rock. And a very sweet motor.jmho

Thanks for your replys. 2Dflyer, that was exactly what I was looking for.
Mr awesome, I'll take you up on that offer.

I put on a lot of miles (15-20k yr) so I need to find a low milage bike.
First on my list is an FJR, but I want to have something a couple grand
 cheaper as a backup plan.
