This is a show I was considering going to,.... but,.... (rant mode ON)
this is fucking rediculous. The show sold out in minutes,...tickets
selling for $89 each.  Now all I see are these fucking ticket brokers/thiefs
and fleabay and ticketsnow selling the fucking tickets for $220 for 1 ticket,
to $1600 for 4 seats.
I hope all the fucking sellers on fleabay and everywhere else are asking
such high $$$ that they don't sell and get stuck holding them.....
fucking assholes!!!   ya,... i'm pissed,... can ya tell   Mad2

Let me get this straight...

If I buy front row tickets for $50 and sell them outside the gates for $100, I'm 'scalping,' and I should go to jail.

If TicketBastard buys up every front row seat for $4000 and sells them for $400,000 (because of 'fees,') that's just 'business as usual.'

OK.  Glad all that got cleared up.   Rolleyes

Keep trying to buy the tickets.  Now the story behind why I say this.

A friend of mine's house burned down recently and he lost his tickets to several concerts.  One pair was for the Robert Plant/Alison Krause which he paid cash for.  He has been in touch with Ticket Master trying to get either a refund, or replacement tickets.  One of the things he was told was Ticket Master was actively taking tickets away from the "scalpers" out of state.  These are then coming back up for sale on Ticket Master's site.  They claim to be trying to change their system to prevent out of state scalping operations from buying all the tickets for concerts.

A friend of mine was in Australia in the early 90s at an AC-DC show when Stevie Wright (Easybeats) appeared on-stage and they did "Friday On My Mind." He said Stevie looked like shit but still had it. I think he paid about $5 to get in.
