Yow.  Couple of years, I could see trading in the Mille R for one of these.   Inlove

I especially like how the fairing has been pulled toward the front of the bike a little so you can see the engine through that triangle in the frame.   Inlove

That's hot.

Sadly, like most new bikes these days, it's screaming for an aftermarket can.

Yeah, no doubt.

The race bike has a very tasteful pipe with carbon can.  Looks great.   Thumbsup Thumbsup

Very sweet!! and very expensive.  Much nicer looking than the prototype unit they were showing awhile back.  I think I read only~1000 worldwide units per year.  It's going head to head with the Desmo market, so I'd expect to see one in Leno's garage, but not mine. Lol

I didn't think it was going to be that expensive. I thought it was more in the $20k range than the $60k range. Anyone heard what the price is going to be?

Im reading it will run as much as a RSV Factory does now.  I think the exhaust is kind of for heritage. Its a new look of the ol 98-03 exhaust can. But yes, it will need to be replaced!!

I think you're right.  But the RSV4's is uglier than the '00 to '03 can...

My understanding is that there will a normally priced street model ($20K ish) and Superbike homologation special ($$$$) to compete with the 1098R, etc.

Then what's shown above is the "Superbike homologation special" because it has no back seat or pegs...or even a place to put them.

No, that's the regular one. Let me if I can find the link I first read about them on...

EDIT: Here ya go! Note the fancy Ohlins forks on the race bike.

I must be in the minority in thinking this bike is ugly as shit. Seems to me Aprilia missed the Italian sex appeal class in design school that Ducati and MV Agusta aced.

What a sweet bike.  My only beef is that it looks like a Mille RSV but with a third headlight.  The current Mille is a nice looking bike, but the V4 should look different than it.
I'm guessing this is going to put a world of hurt on the RC8.  That bike is already at $20K.  People are going to buy 1098s not matter what..

I like the current RSV better. Oh well. I cannot wait to see one in person, then maybe my opinion will change.
