Just to get the dialog moving a little more. Did you know that you can post a poll from a smartphone??? Edited to add an end to the poll. You have 60 days to ponder this... - DantesDame

Where is the 17th and 18th ROCKS!!! option? Anything earlier than this risks closure of the highest passes in the rockies. You don't want to ride all the way to Colorado and not be able to hit the biggies like Monitor and Independence passes.

Last year's (and previous I believe) meet was on Tuesday/Wednesday, rather than Wednesday/Thursday, with the group dinner on Tuesday night. So I recommend the dates should be shifted one day to June 16/17. P.S. You know you just volunteered to plan this, right? Thanks Stef!!!!

With this kind of advance notice, the specific dates are immaterial. Anything is fine.

I picked 23-24, just because I'd would need to take the least days off work. But like chornbe said, this far out anything works.

How bout mid month? I'd hate to be too early and not be able to hit some of the passes. OTOH, Late month won't work out for me due to a vacation.
Crossing my fingers that I can make this one.

For this area, the later the better. It can still be pretty damn cool in the evening in early June, and for those interested in getting up on some high dirt roads, there will be a lot of snow still around then.

Eh, what's a month? A couple of dates are kind of close at this point. Everyone should have the opportunity to vote.

Eh, what's a month?
I'm sure I'm an exception to the norm, but the 09 vacation schedule has already passed my desk and is on to the next person. Another month means no vacation weeks left to take in June and no possibility of attending the National. For me it never matters what the date is, it's always decided too late. I was able to make this years only because of a delay in a new aircraft delivery that freed up a few weeks that weren't originally available.

I understand what you're saying... Perhaps we should have chosen a different length for the poll to start, but with two sets of dates as close as we have, it's important to not change it now. Don't want a repeat of the drama from last year! Or you could have just requested the last half of June off.

Oh yeah, I agree you can't change it now. It just seems to me that if we just had a date for the National, say last week of June, and then left it there every year it would be simpler for everyone than having a poll and having the date move each year. For example, the Region 4 Meet is Labor Day Weekend every year. If you can't make it this year you at least have the knowledge of when to plan for it next year. The poll results so far indicate having a date is more important than choosing a date. OK, rant off. I'll do my best with whatever the outcome is.
