Could those of you who expressed a preference explain why and maybe post some route options?  Razz

I voted Gunnison because it's an hour further east.  Embarassment
Selfish, no?

I'll be flying across a bloody great big ocean to get there if I do come, I don't care where I have to go after that as long as there are bikes, roads, food, beer and Dred with his bottle of Glenlivet Wink

Fly to Florida and you can borrow the SV650. I'll take the Bandit 1250.  Bigsmile

Except it turns out I still prefer the SV. Headscratch

Well, if we still have the SV1000s next year, it could be bought for a song.  Lol

I voted Gunnison because of the discussion in Thundergod's thread, with the major point being that it is cooler.  I like that the town is a little smaller than Montrose, and the lack of a Honda dealership isn't a biggie.

I'm torn. Either is within striking distance from me, and I spent 25 years in Gunnison. Like as in Grew up there, went to school there, graduated from college there, met my wife there and have all my family there.

Although, I'm already working my old man to let us party at their house (2o miles of good road out), with the MOAB (Mother Of All Bonfires. Been saving 7 or 8 downed cottonwood trees for a special occasion  EEK! )

Still might have connections in the area too to find a good spot and good eats.

Yer call. It'll be 'brisk' in Gunny in the evenings, but not bad that time of year.

Mid-Southern Missouri.

Pretty central and some kick ass riding.

Or Texas Hill Country.

PS... where are Gunnison and Montrose?

Colorado.  The 2009 meet is in the Rocky Mountains.  Not Texas.  Not Missouri.  Pick a location in the Rocky Mountains.  This is the 4-year rotation schedule.
