Have a small group of ST1300's heading for Morro Bay on Fri and coming back to SoCal on Sunday. Staying at the Days Inn.

Will be riding highway 1 north on Sat for a leisurely photo op ride. Maybe lunch in Big Sur area or Carmel and return. Dinner gathering at the Harbor Hut in Morro bay that evening. All are welcome to tag along. Weather still looks good. Thumbsup

FWIW, was looking into reasonable lodging rates out there, and
noticed that the Motel 6 in San Simeon had the lowest prices. I
haven't checked out every single motel out on the coast though.

San Simeon, to me, is where the best twisties start on Hwy 1
when northbound. Have a great trip!

Well we are back home safe and sound! Had a great day Sat of riding PCH to Big Sur. Stopped many times for pics and just take in the views.

We met some folks from Germany touring the Pacific coast from Oregon to L.A. by rented motorhome. They both have BMW motorcycles at home and wished they could have rode their bikes instead!

Dinner at the Harbor Hut was fantastic (and warm). We were out side the restaraunt talking and trying out and comparing Blubyu"s Russell day long seat and Caliriders Sargeant till we realized the wind had picked up and we were freezing! The food was very good and the ride stories were fun. We enjoyed meeting everyone and look forward to our next meet.

Also and we're glad Vince took the offer to stay overnight and ride back to Berkeley in the morning. Very good of Calirider and (sorry I forgot your name) Dad in-law to offer.

We stopped in at the Rock Store in Malibu on the way home too. Pics in link below...Click on CalStoc and then slide show...
