This is what I'm thinking- Starting point; http://www.cupofjoycafe.com/ The cup of joy cafe in Wasco IL. From there we make our way somehow (I'm not planning the route- I'll where my gut/ass/bladdder tells me) to Route 20, eventually cutting into the Stagecoach Trail and into Galena. Lunch stop, there and afterwards, its anybody's call anywhere.

Sounds good? I'm thinking stands up at 10AM.

I'll be at Red School Cafe between 7:30 and 7:45.

Woodstock looks to be (for me) a good geographical breakfast stop.  I plan to take 120 S through Lake Geneva, then continue due S on Ill 47.

So there are people that are going to meet at "The Cup of Joy - Wasco IL." and others at "Red School Cafe - Bristol WI." and some others at an undisclosed location in Woodstock IL., ........is there one place that everyone is going to meet a particular time as a group for the ride?????

For coffee at 9 AM in Wasco, IL.

Woodstock will be the breakfast stop for me and Ben only if it proves convenient and there appears to be a decent place there to grab an omelette.  It just looks like halfway to Wasco, that's all.  I've been down 45 before...it sucks.  I merely wanted to try a new road, albeit a straight one.  We are all sorry for the inconvenience this may cause in R4.  JK.

WTF, I'm in.  It'd be pretty bad if I can't make it to a meet twenty minutes from my house on the exact same street.

but you still have to go through St. Charles.

One last thing- The Cup Of Joy's parking lot is behind the building, so you wont see any bikes parked out front (Or cars for that matter).

When I get there I'll see about putting my bike out front if there is room.

A few pics from today's ride.  Four of us met at sunrise in Vernon, WI at Citgo.

We stopped in Woodstock, IL for a very good breakfast.  I recommend the Mexican Skillet!

Ben and I headed toward home at 1:48 PM while the rest of the group who was in Winslow went to Culver's.  I needed a lunch stop too, so Ben and I went to Culver's in New Glarus, WI on our way back.  The heat turns me into a complete wuss.  I was exhausted even before getting home.  I had hydrated properly...in fact I was Mr. Bathroom Break most of the day due to my massive liquid consumption in anticipation of the heat.  I hope the rest of you made it to Galena.

after shooplick and I got around it that mini van was just a dot in the rear view mirror.  Burnout

And of course, immediately after a daring pass of said 'tard-vantm on the double yellow so we can resume speeding, we're in town.  Frak...

Great ride, what a way to blow off some steam.  Ed led a perfect pace all the way out, with a route covering some roads I've never seen before.  Fred, Chris, Ben, Jim, Jai, and Ed are always good for a laugh, and it was good to meet quite a few ST.N'ers for the first time.

Of course, chasing everyone for the day also has me re-thinking my cornering techniques.  I gotta practice in a parking lot or something.

It was hella nice to be able to leave home at a quarter after nine for once.

Some pics- my lil' point and shoot doesn't take great photos, but that's what Fred's here for.

Chili was strapped like Ulysses against the tempest.  Zipties FTW!

I'd still like to know how Fred got a twitching, still-living bee shoved that far into his fairing.  Didn't think we were going that fast...
http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w11/fourstring/Galena%20in%20October/100_0641.jpg

The ride back was long.  It was no longer a question of "will we be stuck behind a dentist cum pirate on the way home?", but which one?  And for how long?
