Second Job? You're an engineer, too.
We're all supposed to be super wealthy, right?
Just go get it and ride it home.

Did you say engineer and super wealthy! Oh brother!
OK if I lived in the heart land I would be super wealthy but I live in NJ and work for the feds. So with my pay I can just about afford a condo, send my wife to school part time and a 96 GPZ.
If i were living in say Iowa or Kansas well I would own about half the state with my GS-13 income!
But when she graduates I hope to be able to get a new bike. And who knows by then I may be a GS-14.

It's a figure of speech made to satarise "gangsta rappers"
In my old office we had a white wanna be gangsta / wonder geek.
Busting his chops was as easy as bobbing for watter!
He especially hated "It's all about the soccer moms yo!"
Which was a reference to the P Diddy song
Oh it was good fun watching him correct me, 30yo white kid living at home and throwing gang signs at meetings.
Nice guy though, really good engineer and very organized but.....well how can you not have fun with it?
And
Milfs need loving too! But they gots to pay! Foshiza word!

Looking at some what affordable super bikes will do that to you.
I called the guy up, just to check. The MV is in perfect condition and It's not a salvage title.
The same for the MV.
And from the sounds of it he's willing to deal on both bikes. So if you have the cash and the garage space and live in NJ......
I don't know what I would do with either of them my self, even if I had the cash. I'm not that good of a rider and am prone to posing so it wouldn't be good for me. But for some one with the skills and the money.
I'll keep my eyes open and let you guys know what else shows up on the market.
PS
He's got a mint Vrod that just came in if any one is interested reply and I'll post the pics.

Well, I love in N-NJ and well over the past month or so on my week end rides threw the mountains and the valleys I've noticed that more and more luxury toys are up for sale.
Last week end in a place called Long Valley (very well to do people with very large homes) I noticed a number of signs reading "Horse for Sale" as well as quite a few 4 wheelers and Corvets. I didn't stop to really ask about the price of any of these but got me thinking. Perhaps this economic down turn may have a silver lining for those of us who are interested in acquiring high end toys and a middle end price?

agreed. economies rise and fall. they all do it and will continue to do so. thats why you have to squirrel away your nuts for the 'winter' economy times. many of the well to do people are just tightening their belts alittle to make sure they dont scrape bottom. the not so well to do people are tightening their belts alittle more and can see the bottom! values of most everything will fall back to normalized prices which will open up nice items for normal people and then the economy will start to slowly rebound (oversimplified, i know). thats why i bought the house that i did in the area that its in. not something we could afford normally, but now were in a great area with a much bigger, brand new house than we ever thought of owning (our first house). the builder was getting desperate and we picked it up for less than some much smaller houses we had looked at just a couple of years ago.

How does the MV fit into this?
Look the girl wants fake boobies well who am I to say no. She'll graduate from university with a business major and about 5 years of business / banking experience and well she can buy her own. And I can buy my own new bike.

bargain pricing is here!!
im not sure there is a correlation between cheating and fake boobs, but i can see where the new found confidence could lead to that. my wife wants them too and shes free to get them, but our deal is that if one of us cheats on the other, thats a free pass to even up the score.

There is a definite correlation between boob implants and a dramatic increase in promiscuity. Here's how it's gonna go down... she gets the boobs, she's so proud of them that she wants to show them off, she loves the new attention she's getting, she decides she wants to have some fun and can do better than who she is with now...
I've seen it a bunch of times, and appreciated the results!
Sure it won't happen to you, butt just a little heads up so to speak.

Well that's where operation (big booming voice) "Operation Share The Shah" comes into play!
And I'll have my MV! Thank you very much!
And for back up, have you seen the kind of hot ladies that hang out in those singles web pages!
Woo hoo! I'm telling you! If your a half way decent guy who doesn't live at home and burshes his teeth!
Woohoo!

So to sidetrack this thread to helmets now.....I like that Caberg that you bought. Although it looks much better on your wife, I am thinking (who does NOT need any change to the boob department). How did you find the sizing (helmet, not bewbs).
I should like to get me one of them (either).

Well it's not a side track Caberg are from Italy, so was the outfit she had on and so are MV's so we are still on track.
Except for the wife, she's from Finland. Found her at a buss stop....damn that public transportation!
OK well I bought it about two years ago after I face planted while wearing a Carberg Justissimo. Totally reached the lid! Grabbed the front brakes too hard flew over the handle bars came down face first and the thing saved my gorgeous face! So after recovering and rebuilding the bike I decided to pick up another Caberg.
But finding them in the US proved to be difficult to say the least so I hit google. Found one at
www.motobrio.com
, but the web page doesn't seem to be working. A quick google search yielded
http://www.designerhelmets.com/prodcat.php?cat=Caberg
I opted for the trip due to two reasons.
1) Looked way cooler!
2) Smaller! The exterior dimensions were just a tad bit smaller.
And so far I have to say it's very nice. Working the visor may take some getting use to but the fit and finish of the lid is very nice.
As for the sizing, motobrio had a saize chart (metric) and I did email their guy Russ a few times asking what size fit me the best. But you could also use this.

Women that receive breast implants are three times as likely to commit suicide.

I've got a real Rolex and my wife has real boobies. Does that make me half-successful or twice as successful?
The part about toys being for sale is 100.00% true. Used aircraft prices are in the crapper right now. Two reasons for that. One is the economy, the other is fuel prices. It's a tough justification to buy a light-twin that burns 25+/- gallons per hour when avgas is still costing $4.50 to $5.50.
The good news is, if you've lusted after a Cessna 310, the opportunity to buy is better than it's ever been!

OK let me be a flaming dick for a second......
We men age like fine wine....women more like French bread. We mellow out and enrichen, they harden up and sag.
I'm not too worried, I was a later bloomer when it came to the ladies and feel I could have had more fun.
So if she buys them and jumps off.......two words my friend Swedish Stewardesses!
Now that aside, you think this economic crysis will effect the new market? Will high end products be sold at a lower price just to clean out inventory?

I'll say that I followed the Shah and purchased a Trip off his recomend. It's a pretty cool and functional helmet. The only thing I don't like is the chin-bar is 1/4 inch off my chin with the face locked down. Though, on the other hand, it's got big roomy areas to park you ear-bits in with no pressure points on the ear-tips which has been a problem for my goofy ears in the past. Mostly I'd say in the general relm that the helmet doesn't suck and it's pretty good overall. Here's a recent action photo with the hemet in question.
