 I am considering wiring the Bandit up for a GPS. I anyone out there ahs installed a power outlet, could you post a pic or two?

I put a Powerlet under the seat on my Bandit, I'll snap a couple of pics this weekend for you.

Same here. Most of us use powered cradles, so you might want to add an auxiliary fuse box and just wire it in. My power socket is for a cell phone charger.

Wired in a fuse box and relay under the seat. One of these on each side. License plate light wire switches the relay.

I wired a cigarette lighter type outlet to my '97 and used a zip tie around the speedo to secure it. Works great, very good location for usability on handlebar mounted goodies. All my pictures are on my hard drive back home.

Wal-Mart. I am still going to shoot them with some flat-black paint to make them look a little less obvious - just have not done it yet.

Looks like I need to take a trip to Wally World today and see if they have the covered outlet like you have.  Thanks for the info.

There is a wire under the tank that goes to carb heaters on the European models. I believe it is orange and it is on/off with the ignition. This powers my relay for my driving lights. Works like a charm and I hate splicing into another circuit.
