08 Bandit 1250 wind screen vibration

I have about 900 miles on my new Bandit, the only complaint is excessive vibration noise from the stock wind screen. The Suzuki Techs at the dealership said that they found a loose fastener at my first maint check and fixed it but the noise is still there. Anyone have a similar issue? Is there an easy fix or do I have to play tug of war with the service dept? Other than this vibe there is not a thing wrong with this new ride! Thanx.

I have a similar problem with my sv650, but not on the bandit.
Whatever you do, I wouldn't recommend the suzuki tall windscreen for the bandit.

The used '08 I test rode yesterday didn't seem to have this problem. I guess it only happens on occassion huh ? I am VERY aware of vehicles that display any squeeks, rattles, or buzzing. These make me crazy and I'm then on seek and destroy mission!

I'm curious...why? (just in case I replace my old for new)
I suppose it depends on your height, but the buffeting that comes off of it is awful. It's especially bad over 90 (not that I EVER go that fast
), but even before then, it's just noisy and uncomfortable. I use the bandit to get around Florida on the highway a lot, and it was instantly noticeable as not as good as stock, even. I'm sure there are better options out there.

I replaced the stock Bandit screen with a Givi Touring Screen and it's one of the best mods I've done. Great wind management and still pretty quiet. Much more comfortable at highway speeds and I highly recommend it.

I never had that problem with the stock screen, but went with the MVA Vario Touring Screen for better wind protection when touring.

Thanks for the help with the threadjack, guys.
Seriously, thanks for the tips. I was ok with the old windscreen, and I never would've expected this one to not be at least as good as it was, but I really don't like it. I got the Suzuki tall windscreen as a present for Ray. Maybe I'll install the new one as a present to him.

The old bandits wer famous for fastners wiggling loose and annoying plastic vibes developing. They were much more vibe prone than the new Bandits.
On my old bandit the screen would make noises so I used some two sided carpet tape where the two surfaces met and it cleared up the vibe noises. A cheap & easy to do fix. Something you may consider when you mount the new screen.

My ZRX had a rattle coming form underneath the bikini fairing. Turned out to be the nut that holds down the headlight adjustment screw was loose. Couple quick turns w/the screw driver cleared that up right nice like. Just something to look at.
