Schumacher's bobber
«
on:

Just came across this (about 2 years late
), a bobber built for Schumacher as a gift for retiring from Ferrari.
Cool thing is that it was built by Yoshi at the Garage Company (famous for their moto giro classic events at Willow Springs), who are a 10 minute walk from my house. Neat place.

remove the front fender and put a proper tank on that and I'd hit it.

I'm with you on the tank and fender. Love those Firestone tires.

I bet I get the same thing when I retire. I mean, like, that or a keychain.

I'm pretty sure it has to have the fenders by law in Germany. And the cops there don't mess around.

Sweet looking bike.
I'm just surprised they put Firestone tires on it. You mean to tell me Bridgestone didn't have anything for him?

I know it is a style and all, but a cable operated front drum for a guy used to the ultimate brakes?
Still, I would love to ride it.

Bridgestone owns/is Firestone AFAIK.

Ken, the dood won 40,000 F1 titles for Ferrari. He drove technology that we have no idea exists. A Desmosedici would seem like a slow underbraked pile o poo to him.
So it might as well be the other end of the spectrum, performance-wise...
