Good right up.  That is such a bad angle to take a picture of the 1125 of.  This is a bike of my dreams if you can just wipe those over sized atrocities on the side.

If there is a God there will be a new design for 2010 to bless that great engine with.

I'm amazed at how far apart our opinion on looks are with these bikes Brad. I posted that pic up because I think it's one of its best angles.

I don't mean to be to harsh.

The Black CR is the best 1125 yet.  being all one color helps bring the different shapes together.  I like this head on shot as it it don't show the contrast from the Naked frame rough texture frame to the large shiny plastic scoops.

This may be one of the hottest pics here, but its the action and the placement of the rider hides a lot of the older parts allowing the you to focus on the newer parts.  Looks mean here.

Great Bike I want to love and am trying to talk myself into buying the CR model.  I just fear I'll spend the money then they make the styling updates.

Not that I'm totally apposed to ugly, I do have a Busa.

And the CR looks better as its more in proportion than the R series that looks like a Bobble Head the fairing is up so high.

I really like the CR.  In fact seeing the CR has made me realize why I don't love the 1125R.  It isn't the radiators.  Those are even more prominent on the CR and they add to the aggressive appearance of that bike.  Nope.  It is the nose of the 1125R that I don't like.  It turns up and hangs there like an afterthought.  The CR is otherwise the same bike without the nose and looks far better for it.

All of that said, why did they return to cockeyed headlights on the CR after abolishing them with the 1125R?  If they had just made the nose a tiny bit wider they could have used two low-beams and one high-beam -- while still using the overall shape they selected.

I'm still waiting and hoping for a sport touring version of the 1125.  I was worried that the engine wouldn't fill that role at all, given the fuel mileage reported in the first year.  But the latest fuel maps are a huge improvement, so perhaps with further tweaking, decent fuel range could be achieved with a 1125 based sport touring bike.

I'm sorta with Hickey - I'd like a Buell Sport - Tour bike ( OK, the lightning long is pretty close.)
but those side Rads have to go.  I understand it's prob. a Buell Company article of Faith not to do a ' standard' design, but . . .  add 3 " to wh'base,( which would increase gas tank /range)  put rad. where it should be - presto , a S /T model

That pic makes the mirrors look totally useless, other than turn sigs.

I like the looks, including the sides and the rear end, which reminds me of the Firebolt.

Brad, you can't make yourself like a bike.  If you can't live with the looks, don't buy the bike.  If you do, you're just settling on something you want to like.  The best bikes are the ones that doesn't force you to look back or doubt your decision.  You know it's the right bike when you keep coming back to it or it makes you look over your shoulder to admire its lines.  If you even utter the "word" ugly, that bike is not for you.

I personally don't care much what others think anyways.  In fact, the more some of you hate and whine about the bike, the more I like it!  Maybe it's the whole attitude thing and thumbing your nose at conventional wisdom that gets me.  I usually go right when everyone else is making a left.

This bike has a lot going for it, wacked-out styling , 150hp, 170kg and a 20l tank. I dont go for this 15l tank stuff.

I'll be having a look at this for my next bike . There is a full fairing version as well http://www.buell.com/en_au/bikes/sportbike/1125R/colors.asp

If they made that headlight any wider, it wouldn't clear the rad scoops.  It just barely clears as is.

Raise it up a couple of inches, then go wider.   DeadHorse

Then it would look as goofily "cobra headed" as the R.

What would you put in the center in front of the steering head then?

Probably some chrome or something to bling it out so people dont confuse it with another cookie cutter design.  A Hood ornament might be nice?
