It's only October. I don't even remember summer.
I'm going to go sacrifice some rabbits, boil some vultures, and prepare for the Winter Solstice.

Never been to WCRM, but have been to the .x version.
You can still ride. I got out Sunday for a bit, was going to do the loop but traffic was so bad on 21 I called it quits in Idaho City. Must have been all the leaf lookers and hunters.
Maybe we can do a Sunday ride this weekend if weather is decent.

Sunday I was out in nowhere Oregon on the backside of Silver City. It was fookin gorgeous and not a soul around. That's the best part of back road riding. The hills and stuff looked like velvet.
I could try and do a ride on the new bike Sunday. I need to change the oil.

I'll probably sacrifice WCRM for Gunnison. Not enough free time to do both.
So I'm thinking about National.

Do both.
And yeah, it killed me to miss WCRM this year. I am not going to miss it two years in a row, no matter what.

It we can stuff the ballot box for the date polls, we could probably work the trip to Gunnison via Fortuna
Think about it, leave Seattle on a Friday morning, hit up Fortuna on Saturday night, head for Gunnison on Sunday.

It is an event. Because this is Region 1 every year we have a West Coast Regional Meeting. And then we have 3 or 4 sub meets.

West Coast Regional Meet.
The place where drunken STNers shamelessly flirt with the serving wenches at Eel River Brewery, yet somehow the sober yet debanoir ol' rocket winds up with the lasses. It's a puzzle.

You certainly know the drill by now Missy (actually other than the famously named Beck-zuki and I Colleen has probably spent more time in our home than anyone else)...first come, first served. First person (or couple) who make reservations gets dibs on the guestroom...after that it's all couches and floorspace.
Hey, it's a small house.

I haven't done the math, how far from Fortuna to Gunnison?
Edit: I just mapped it out, about 1300 miles. That should be easy. 500 miles Sunday, 500 miles Monday, 300 Tuesday and arrive in Gunnison a day early, or we could take the long way.

I just got it off the truck 30 minutes ago. It's gorgeous and almost new with 773 miles. More later as I have to run to work. I'm completely excited by my new to me little VFR. Can't explain it.

Has anything materialized here?

We were thinking of riding to Owyhee Resevoir this Sunday. I can't leave super early though because I have no heated gear.

Good, I'll pick you up on the way in.
Edit to add,: Edmonton, to Fortuna to Gunnison to Edmonton works out to 6800 km, easily done in 2 weeks. I hope Colleen (no not Dante, the other Colleen.... aka Mrs. Birdrunner (it's official now btw)) is up to it.

Yay! Congrats.
After looking at your photo album, I've decided that I want you to be my dad. I'll bring the necessary papers with me this spring.
