I started to purchase some of the parts (new/unused) necessary to restore it to its original glory and in the process we have become expectant parents
No wonder I don't enjoy shopping. I've obviously been doing it WRONG.
But I can testify that some time back when my wife (now ex) did go with me to the cycle salvage yard I got a LOT better service.

I wear a skirt whenever I have to go to home depot/menards. You'd be amazed how many employees they have.

His bike - 2000 Hayabusa (because it's important to have the speedo that reads 220 MPH...)
Her bike - 2005 CBR600F4i (I'm not even allowed on it, but I'm supposed to change it's oil)
